The founders of the company, a Korean and a Brazilian, came up with the idea of the app after one day helping a foreigner who randomly entered a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul, where they were. When they left the clinic the idea came almost instantly. ``How about creating a tool that can help people search for beauty procedures, plastic surgery, and clinics in South Korea?`` That was the first concept of OPPA LINDO and the name itself was created months later.

OPPA in the Korean language has diverse meanings one of them is big brother, and LINDO in the Portuguese language means handsome guy.
